UPLIFTING YOUNG CREATIVES IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY Meet Donald Ramonyaloe – A STORY TO TELL

Igoda incubator has become a proficient home to thousands and thousands of fashionistas surrounding the corners of South Africa at large. It gives a greater space to accommodate everyone and anyone who has that adamant passion to combine cloths and produce a wardrobe of very exquisite, breath-taking garments.

It brings hope to those who have capitulated their dreams of being the best top designers in the country and refines the skill of those who are still intending to be quintessential. Igoda Incubator does not only teach how to design but it has taken their time to ruminate on what other skills they can introduce that can complement the manufacturing skill they offer.

That’s when Igoda concluded to add providing mentorship and business coaching, covering all the aspects of being an entrepreneur in the 21st century and striving to success. This will be absolutely beneficial to the students as they will have full education on how to start growing their brands through their businesses to make them a success story.

Students are exposed to an environment which introduces them to a formal working space of being a professional designer, so Igoda gives them an overview of how the working environment of a huge company is, even if they will be couturiers they will be having an idea on how their design studio should look like in the future.

One of the students has an established brand named “Chilli Bite Clothing” he describes his brand as hot and youthful, positive and natural according to the colours he uses to portray his brand. He explains that his brand is already known and is doing a lot better also what makes his brand stand out is the style he uses, packaging, colours and branding.

He says he came across the advertising poster on one of the social media platforms and thought that he wouldn’t miss the lifetime opportunity, that’s when he decided that he will make means to be part of it. He delineates Igoda Incubator as a helpful and supportive initiative to the community as it reveals hidden talent, uplifts young designers in communities and promotes job creation and he is grateful.

All the participants have a journey to embark on and a story to tell at the end of the skills development training offered by Igoda Incubation to glaze their skill and bring to fruition.
